Another mixed media piece in dark reds and black, consisting of acrylic, copper pigment, raised letters and random textures. It measures 18" x 18' , on 5/8" gallery wrapped canvas. Remember, for one week only, this piece is $150.00, which includes shipping within the continental United States.

Special Sale!

As promised, here is the first of my mixed media paintings, Andromeda - Diving Girl. It is based on the myth of Andromeda, who was chained to the rocks to be eaten by a sea monster, until she was rescued by Perseus, just back from killing Medusa. It is 18" x 18", on a 5/8" thick gallery wrapped canvas, already wired - no need for framing! The piece consists of paper, acrylic paint, and gold leaf.

Remember - she will only be available at the sale price of $150 (includes standard shipping within the continental U.S.) for one week, at the end of which she will be replaced by another work from my studio.

Special End of the Year Sale

One of the nice things about having an open studio event is that you are able to take inventory of all of your work. As a result, starting on Wednesday, October 21, I am going to be hosting a special online sale of my older work for the next 14 weeks. Each week, one piece will go up for the price of $150, which includes standard shipping within the continental United States. Most of these unframed pieces are mixed media, and range in size from 18" x 18' to 24" x 24". At the end of the week, the piece will be removed, no longer offered at the sale price, and a new one will take it's place, etc, etc. This is your chance to own an original Liz Nicklus at rock bottom prices - as many of you know, I never make prints of my work so you are truly getting a one-of -a- kind work of art. And don't forget - for those of you looking for new work, also at very affordable prices, my show with Carl Johnson, Driven to Abstraction, is on display at SMILE Gallery, located at 105 w. 22nd Street in Philadelphia, until November 7.
